We are AWESOME!

This afternoon, Noellia Hernandez, our Juliet, as well as Director of Choreography and Founding Member of Mother of Invention, had her job cut out for her. With all of her obligations, I have no idea when she managed to find the time to create what I saw today. Actors are not necessarily dancers, but they are in this show. This afternoon was the first rehearsal in which we incorporated the dance portion of the Capulet's Feast into the scene, and it was so awesome- I couldn't stop smiling.

AUDITION

Wow. Wow. Wow. I am amazed. We officially announced auditions yesterday, and with it, went public for the first time- and WOW! The amount of responses we have gotten is unbelievable. This thing is for real. It was hilarious to watch our Myspace friends list grow by five every couple of minutes. Seriously, since last night, everytime I have checked it, we have five more friends. Thank you to all of our supporters.

We are a GONGA!

A message from Kathryn:

We have accomplished more in a couple of weeks than many thought were possible. To say that I am proud of everyone involved in this project is an understatement of gigantic proportions. I am thrilled. I am freaking out. I am nervous. I am just plain giddy.

Lee's best friend, Bo, often uses the made-up word, "gonga," in conversation. I asked once what it meant, and was told that a "gonga," was a good deal, like finding an object of imaginable value at a garage sale, or filling your tank up with gas for only a dollar a gallon.

I've got that feeling now. I've got that feeling like I've never had it before. It is as if all of the planets have aligned and all is right with the world, and the possibilities are limitless. Mother of Invention is a GONGA, and I love you all.
